From Flushing to Princeton: The Growth of America’s Ivy-Taught AI Program for Kids

One mission, many cities

What started as a small experiment in making AI accessible to kids has become one of the fastest-growing youth education programs on the East Coast.

From Flushing to Princeton, AI-495 is redefining what quality STEM learning looks like — with Ivy-trained instructors, hands-on projects, and a nationwide vision for AI literacy.

The expansion story

AI-495 began with one goal: to bridge the gap between elite STEM education and everyday families.

It started in New York City, expanded to Maryland and Virginia, and now thrives across multiple communities, serving students both online and in person.

Each city adds a unique flavor:

  • Flushing: creative AI and bilingual programs

  • Rockville: data science and middle school enrichment

  • Tysons: automation and machine learning

  • Princeton: deep STEM foundations and research mindset

Together, they form a connected learning ecosystem that empowers students to think, question, and innovate.

What’s next

AI-495 plans to expand into Boston, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, extending its Ivy-taught model nationwide.

But no matter how far it grows, its mission remains the same:
to make world-class AI education available to every child — not just coders.
